Jennifer Harman-Traniello built her poker reputation as a cash game player, but has now also made something of a name for herself in tournament play. She is now one of the leading women in poker history.
Harman started playing poker at just 8 years old, but her decision to play poker professionally initially distanced her father from her, although they have now patched up their relationship.
World Series of Poker
Harman won the first of her 2 World Series of Poker bracelets at the 2000 No-Limit Deuce to Seven Lowball Event, earning $146 250. She followed this up in 2002 at the $5 000 Limit Hold’em Event, where she pocketed $212 440 along with her gold bracelet.
Harman is still the only woman to hold two bracelets in WSOP open events and has finished in the money at the World Series of Poker on 21 occasions.

Jennifer Harman has also made 11 money finishes on the World Poker Tour, including 2 final tables.
In 2004, Harman was forced to take a year off from poker to have a second kidney transplant after suffering from a hereditary condition since her childhood.
Since her return to the poker tournament circuit, Harman has finished 4th at the World Poker Tour Five-Diamond World Poker Classic, 5th in the inaugural Professional Poker Tour event, and 2nd in the WSOP Circuit Championship Event at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino.
